Things I never dreamed I would say...

"Please do not feed daddy's tie to Oliver"

"Do not throw daddy's cell phone in the toilet!!" Followed by Logan gleefully throwing the phone in the toilet as it was flushing. Mike's phone no longer works.

"Please do not put your finger up mommy's nose"

"Danger" in reference to Logan trying to lick an electrical socket which fortunately was covered with a child safe cover

"Oh, wow that is a mess" in reference to finding Logan sitting in a lake of milk happily swishing it around on the floor - reminder to self to get different sippy cup (followed by logan trying to help clean up with a napkin - seriously adorable and helpful)

"Don't eat Max" to Oliver in hopes he would stop biting Logan's new beloved pirate dog

"Careful not to trip on your pom-pom" to Logan as he ran down the hallway with Molly's (the nanny) old cheerleading pom-pom from high school [Mike is not so sure how he feels about Logan having the pom-pom but as Logan uses it mostly to shake at the dog to tease him, I think it is great]

"Dog treats are icky" thought we would have a few more years before having to explain that the bacon dog treats are for Ollie

Things I like

Things I like:

Balloons from Grandpa

Walking

Lovey

Going outside on the deck

swings and sliding at the park

talking

licking the toothpast off my toothbrush

Things I don't like:

grass (I stand on one foot and rub the other foot on my pant leg to get it clean - or I try to stand on mom's feet)

whatever food I liked yesterday

taking naps

sleeping past 4:30 in the morning - waiting for daylight is for wimps

actually brushing my teeth

I am 1

Birthdays are the best. I turned one and my mom and grandma sang Happy Birthday to me every day for a week - whenever we walked past the happy birthday banner. I love balloons but mom has to hide them after a while because I just can't let them go.

Being 1 is the best. I get new foods and I even got to try cake - well sort of. I had lots of fun at my party. It was great to open gifts. All my new toys are so fun.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

I went to Denver on an airplane. My adventure on the way there was great. I rode on a plane in my very own row. The flight attendants were so nice. Then when I got to Denver I rode a train to meet my auntie Keely.

We had so much fun! She took me to play on the breakfast foods at the mall and to the enchanted forest at the Children's museum. She is the absolute best! She even drove around Denver and almost all the way to Boulder to let me sleep in her car.

Uncle Phil treated us to lots of great dinners - one at his restaurant. It was so nice to meet all the people who like him so much. I did not follow Uncle Phil's house rules very well - I did a lot of crying at night because I was getting a new tooth. Uncle Phil didn't really mind though and even let me feed his great big dogs lots of treats from my high chair.

While at Auntie Keely's I learned to say "lay down" to the dogs. I was pretty proud of myself.

On the way home I had to sit on my mom's lap for the whole flight. That was not as much fun as the whole row on the way there. I made friends with a flight attendant and played lots of peekaboo with the nose-ring wearing teenager sitting behind me on the plane.

We had the best time in Denver and can't wait to see Auntie Keely and Uncle Phil, and especially Sophia and Ripley again soon.

These kids are scary...

At our most recent PEPS event Logan decided he was shy and spent a good hour hanging onto my pant leg hiding from the other babies. So sweet! After a little bit of time he warmed up and was willing to hang out with all his baby friends.

This Jumperoo is pretty great

While at PEPS a few weeks ago we put Logan in Abby's jumperoo. While he didn't actually jump, and mostly just moved from side to side, he still was really happy and mischeivious in it.

Off to play with Charlotte

This is my new favorite outfit. I wait until mommy has me in the car, pull my hat off and laugh out loud
