Happy Halloween

I had fun with Gigi and my dad at the halloween party at his office. Gigi was so nice to bring me there and stay for the party.
My mom had me put on my costume when she got home and we went trick-or-treating to the neighbors. We gave them treats. I cannot wait until I am big and I will get the treats.

I might get a new house

Last night my parents took me to see a new house. It has a big playroom that would be just for me, although my dad thinks it would be for his t.v. Oliver would also have his own room and a huge yard to play in. Our condo is getting a little squishy for the four of us and all my toys.

6 months old and a new toy

Yesterday we gave Daddy a chance to play Halo 3 while he recovered from wisdom teeth surgery. We went to the toy swap on Mercer Island and snagged a brand new toy. Logan loves it! Nothing like a brightly colored baby gymnasium that plays awful music and lights up to entertain a 6 month old for hours on end.

Our house used to look like this, but now it looks like this...

Perhaps I am also a baby dinosaur

Today I have spent all morning trying to roar just like my dinosaur toy. I am doing quite well. I have also become an accomplished sitter and rarely fall over anymore especially when I hold my toes.
I miss my auntie Keely and wish she and uncle Poncey would come to visit soon.

I love to say mmmmm

I have recently learned to say "mmmmmmmmm" when it comes to food and am trying it out all the time.

Eventually I will move forward but for now backwards is great

Logan still only crawls backwards. Forward momentum always results in a quick tumble. However, his latest try at this is to move his arms as far forward as possible and then hop with his back legs to catch up. Although this typically results in a fall, he thinks it is pretty great anyway.

Crawling

I am learning to crawl and I think it is so fun. I cannot wait to fly speedily around the house chasing down my dog Oliver. I grabbed him by the ears this week and now he hides from me a little bit. I really like to pet him and grab his tail.

I am a baby shark

Here I am in my Halloween costume. I am fierce!

Adventures of Logan

Logan went to Barnes and Noble with Gigi and Geebo today. He had a great time exploring the children's book section, listening to Rafi with headphones on, and chatting to everyone in sight in Starbucks.

He came home with a new book - Max's Halloween. Logan is very excited about Halloween because his shark costume came home from the store this week. He likes to chew on the shark teeth. We are all looking forward to the Halloween party at Mike's office and with our PEPS group to see all the babies in their gear.

Logan loves his grandparents and regularly talks to his grandpa on the phone. He is now over his stranger anxiety. Today he unabashedly licked grandma on the cheek to say good-bye.

The winning photo

Scooting, Rolling, and Playing with Gigi

Logan is spending his fourth week with his lovely grandma as his caregiver during the day. We have decided to teach him to call her Gigi. He is having lots of fun with her and is always super happy and smiling when we get home.

In the last few weeks he has begun to scoot a little bit - both forwards and backwards. He also is mastering his ability to roll all directions.

This week he rewarded us with a full grown-up style laugh that charmed everyone around him. He also recently won a cute baby contest for a local radio station. We are so proud of him!

He speaks

Logan has begun cooing. He seems to like to showcase his newest skills at 3 a.m. when I come in to feed him. This morning he was happily chatting to me and to the sea creatures on his mobile when I walked in to get him. So much more rewarding to be cooed at than to have a crying baby.

Logan rolled over

Logan rolled over for the first time at 6 weeks old on May 31st. We are completely impressed at his early skills! He continues to roll over from his belly to his back whenever he can get a good foothold to initiate the flip. We can only imagine that rolling from back to front isn't too far off. He is definitely on the move.

Logan Arrived

On April 13 Logan was born and life has been amazing and busy ever since.

He continues to amaze us daily with the new things he does. He smiles at us when we go to pick him up. Today he rolled over from his stomach to his back for the first time - not bad for a six week old.

We are completely enamored with him and everything he does despite the fact that he does not like to sleep at night.
